Wie bleibst du motiviert zu trainieren?
How to make time for training
With Moses Odunmbaku, 32 y/old, Classic Physique competitor, living in Maidstone Kent, United Kingdom
As a personal trainer I have to be very selective in time. After a long day of work it is easy to go home and watch tv. But to go to the gym every day, this is where the discipline comes in.
My mornings start a 5am in the morning. I take an Animal Cuts and a spoon of Glutamine powder, then I do cardo for about 20 minutes and leave the house to go train my first clients at 6am. Usually I have about 3 hours of personal training in the morning.
“ My favorite time to train is from 10:30 – 12:00 because I have enough energy to train between meals.”
Round lunchtime I go home to my wife and children, two boys , one of 4years and one of 4 months old. I have a break of 1 to 2 hours before I go back to my clients in the gym.
In the evenings I have clients scheduled from 5pm till 9 pm.
I do not have a specific time to train but it is about finding the time. I try to squeeze in at least one hour of training each day. As an advanced trainer I can do my training in about one hour but better would be 1,5 hours.
To keep motivated to go to the gym make it a habit. Get it in your routine, get in the gym and get the job done. Keep showing up no matter what. Keep the commitment you made for yourself.
“ Keep showing up no matter what, this is where the discipline comes in”
When your motivation is down and you have no energy, this is where the discipline comes in. You make yourself do it, it never gets easier.
Do I get a full 8 hours of sleep with a 4 month old? No, this is the realistic part of life. No matter how tired or stressed you are, your muscles can still grow. Your muscles grow with strength in the gym.
In the period 2018 to 2020 my eldest son was born and I used to get 3-5 hours of sleep every night. I would go to the living room with my son and start to ride my training bike round 4:30 AM. I won all the shows I did during that period.
“I got 3-5 hours of sleep every night and won all the shows I participated.”
